Profile

I was born in 1970 and grew up in a small town between London and Cambridge. I studied history as an undergraduate and later did my MA in English Teaching at The University of London. I came to Japan in 1993 when I was just 22 years old, and am now living in Fukuoka with my wife Tomomi and our two sons, Joshua and Euan.

As you can see from the picture, I love the ocean and like to go windsurfing in Hakata Bay. My other hobbies include watching soccer, travelling and driving. A few years ago I was also a DJ at an international radio station here in Fukuoka- it was a great experience and gave me the chance to talk about and play the music I love!
