Courses
BA in Nursing
  1. Women`s health nursing I: This course focuses on contemporary thought on women's health , family planning and childbearing. Students gain an understanding of women's health issues and the confidence to advise on general modes of contraception.


  2. Women`s health nursing II: This course introduces students to the latest theories and methods in women's health nursing.


  3. Clinical practicum in women`s health nursing: This course develops the students' knowledge to specialist level in terms of maternity nursing and child health practice and clinical skills.


  4. Graduation thesis: In the 4th-year, students conduct a piece of original research and write a graduation thesis.


  5. Seminar in a specialist nursing field: In the 4th-year, students select a specialist nursing field in order to study it at a deeper level. The results of the seminar contribute to the graduation thesis.


  6. The fundamentals of midwifery: This course enables students to understand the basic concepts of Midwifery care.


  7. Diagnosis and skills in midwifery: In the 4th-year, students@may choose a midwifery course and study methods of assessment regarding the best type of delivery according to the situation. They also acquire the midwifery skills necessary to support women from the time of their pregnancy to the postnatal period.


  8. Clinical practicum in midwifery: This course allows students to develop specialist areas of expertise by integrating their academic and clinical learning in the field of midwifery.
MA in Nursing
  1. Methodology in nursing research: Students learn about various research methods and study how to write a dissertation.


  2. Theory of midwifery practice: Students explore theoretical thinking and abstract frameworks based on midwifery.


  3. Midwifery practice seminar: Through a review of the literature, postgraduate students evaluate current midwifery practice in light of research evidence.


  4. Master's thesis: In the 2nd year, students conduct an original piece of research on midwifery. They also write a master's thesis.

Academic Interests
  • Body awareness in pregnant women who participated in maternity classes for the enhancement of physical sensation.
