Fukuoka Prefectural University consists of two faculties ― the School of Human and Social Sciences and the School of Nursing. Both of these faculties, together with our Graduate School of Human and Social Sciences, strive to imbue students with the skills necessary to negotiate the challenges of the 21st century. Our emphasis on health, caring, education and social harmony are relevant to the most pressing issues, such as the aging society, confronting Japan. As a consequence, Fukuoka Prefectural University’s contribution to society, public health and social welfare has been widely acknowledged and is wholly disproportionate to the modest size of our student body.
