Xiaoqing HAO (professor)

BA in Japanese Language (China He'bei University, 1973);
MA
in International Politics (Kyushu University, 1985).

Hao Xiaoqing was born in Beijing, China. Though he has studied and worked in Japan for many years, he regularly returns to China for study and research.

Courses
1. Introductory course: The purpose of this course is to discuss and teach fundamental learning and research skills.
2. International relations: This course provides training in the principles of international relations to an advanced level. Participating students analyze issues relating to major global issues such as war and peace, democracy and human rights, etc.
3. Chinese 1: This course teaches the rudiments of the Chinese language and provides corresponding practice.
4. Chinese 2: This course takes participating students to an intermediate level in their knowledge of the Chinese language.
5.Chinese 3:This is an advanced Chinese language course. Participating students also study modern Chinese history.
Academic Interests
Associate Professor Hao is greatly interested in international relations, especially issues relating to the domestic and foreign policies of China and China-Japan relations. He consistently explores and analyzes shifts in the global political environment and integrates his findings into his research.
